Rwanda Youth Leadership Camp

The youth leadership camp is Cambridge's main mission outreach to Rwanda. Each year, Cambridge sponsors and teaches at a leadership camp run by the Cyangugu diocese. Our goal is to send 250 youth (ages 15-30) to the camp for 10 days of training in good governance and democracy, sound leadership principles, healthy living (purity, sexual education, and Biblical values). These topics are incredibly valuable, but the main topic for the conference is forgiveness and reconciliation - values that are helping Rwanda recover from genocide. Bishop Geoffrey is convinced that instilling these values within the next generation of Rwanda's leaders will forever change the landscape of that country. With a generation of young people being introduced to the power of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, they are striving to build a Rwanda that will "never again" see the horrors of April 1994.
